Cebu City is a 1st-class highly-urbanized city in the Philippines. It is the provincial capital of Cebu and regional center of Central Visayas, located in the Visayas.

As a highly-urbanized city, it is administratively independent from Cebu.

Cebu City has a population of 964,169 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 315 square kilometers. It consists of 80 barangays.

In the 2022 elections, the city has 733,044 registered voters.
