Mangondato says government should also listen to healthcare experts who invent herbal and other kinds of medicines against COVID-19. He pushes for the conventional and complementary approach, taking into account all suggestions from experts to address pandemic issues.

Mangondato is in favor of the death penalty for drug pushers and the rehabilitation of drug users. He says users turn to drugs to deal with their social, family, or work-related problems.

Mangondato says Filipinos and the Philippine government must protect their claims in the West Philippine Sea. He also recognizes the value of discussing regional interests with other claimants in the South China Sea, which is wholly being claimed by China.

Mangondato is in favor of divorce. He had a similar position when he ran for senator in 2019.
