    Taraka is a 4th-class municipality in the Philippines. It is part of Lanao del Sur in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, located in Mindanao. It has a population of 27,184 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 435.40 square kilometers. It consists of 43 barangays. In the 2025 elections, the municipality has 16,524 registered voters.
